Jerry the Squirrel
Well.... This title may sound really exciting....but actually, it was quite the opposite. Tuesday morning around 1 AM Whitney came into my room and said "Guys, I think there is an animal in the closet where the heater is. I hear scratching." Oh.great. Just the words I want to hear. So Sarah gets out of bed to go check out the situation. They slowly open the closet with broom in hand for protection. Turns out it was a squirrel. A squirrel. In our apartment. And we are on the bottom of two floors. How the heck did a squirrel get in? So Sarah gets a box for Whitney and then comes back in our room and says if anything happens let us know (this whole time I am still in bed watching whats going on), then closes the door and gets back in bed. Later Whitney told me that she was like forget that, I'm going back to bed too! So needless to say the squirrel was still there. We didnt want to call maintenance though, because we were afraid they would show up and there be no squirrel and just think we were a bunch of dumb girls. Later that evening... Sarah and I were visiting teaching(Lauren) at the neighbors house while our other neighbor(Erika) was at our apartment being visit taught by Lexi. We were about to wrap things up when Erika comes back and says we need to go back because something has changed with the squirrel problem.Oh dear. So we quickly say a closing prayer and head home to find out that the squirrel got out from the closet and is in my bedroom.Awesome. So I go to the office to get the night managers phone number off the door. I call them and tell them whats going on, and they say they will be over shortly. Unfortunately our squirrel is a very good hider and we were unable to find him. So they told us to let them know if we had any problems before 10:30 to let them know and they would get ahold of maintenance, but if we didnt they would call maintenance in the morning and have them come check things out. Next day...I can hear scratching behind the dishwasher. Turns out somehow the squirrel got back there. So I move the dishwasher while Sarah is prepared to catch it with a box and a stick. All is well until I decide to get Lexi's camera from her because she cant see the squirrel, but I can. Then he decides to run and heads straight for my room, again(which there is a video of the squirrel and us screaming on Facebook, in case you're interested). Again we cant find squirrel in our room, so Sarah and Kim go to class and Lexi stays home(other story). Kim gets Lexi's facebook update to her phone "Squirrel..Ah!" So I text her to see whats up, and apparently the squirrel is back and in my room again. After class I get a call from Lexi saying I need to come home because the maintenance guys showed up with a dog to catch the squirrel in my room. So I get home and there are three guys in my room with a dog trying to catch the squirrel. Lexi tells me she has heard some interesting sounds and that before the guys showed up she got the squirrel on video coming down the hall and also jumping on my desk(which I found little presents from the squirrel on). The guys come out with a box and the squirrel jumping all around in it and head out the front door and just throw it in the air. They found the squirrel at the head of my mattress almost under my pillow. awesome. Then he apparently was all over the place and then they finallly caught him. HORRAY! NO MORE SQUIRREL!!!!! and all that was left where the little presents he left on our kitchen table and on my desk(which have now been properly disposed of). So that is my exciting story :)

College :)
Well...it sure has been a while since I wrote something. I will try to fill you in on what is happening. In May I graduated from Century High School. In June I went to youth conference at Utah State in Logan (it was AWESOME). In July my sister turned 17, My friend Brock Guthrie left on his mission to Peru, and I was in the 24th of July parade. In August I went to my 7th year of girls camp, went on an awesome float trip with my singles branch to the Mortimer's cabin( : D ), And I had a going away party for college complete with karaoke and roasting hot dogs. SEPTEMBER On the 2nd we packed up and went to Bear Lake to stay in a condo. It was pretty fun, we got to see my cousin Joanna and my aunt and uncle Bill and Barbara. Joanna also showed us the property her dad (my uncle Joe) is in the process of buying. Oh and watched Camp Rock 2 (hehehe). Then on the 4th we packed up to head to Kemmerer,Wyoming before heading to Ogden. On the way the van overheated so we had to pull over. I was driving so...it was interesting. As we sat on the side of the road waiting for it to cool off we had several people stop to see if we needed help and assured them we were fine. One in particular was a young man who, after he left my mom preceeded to tease me about. Shortly after that a DNR truck pulled up behind us. I know what your thinking DNR, do not ressusitate, but it actually means,in this case, Department of Natural Resources. After he talked to us, and my mom embarassed me :) a regular police vehicle also pulled up behind us. We talked to them for a while and then headed on our way after the car cooled off. In Kemmerer we went to a little shop that has 2nd hand stuff and fossils ( I LOVE this little shop :)). Then we also went to the JC Penny motherstore and got some school clothes. Then we headed out on our way to Ogden. We stopped in Evanston, Wyoming to switch drivers because I didnt want to drive in Utah. At Wolf Creek we stayed in another condo. The pool there was awesome, even though I didnt get in...We stayed there until the morning of the 6th and then headed back to Poky. I then made sure I had everything I needed packed for college, and did a load of laundry. We headed out and got to Rexburg at about 6ish. I got my key and moved my stuff in. At the time there was two peoples stuff but no people. I got all my stuff unpacked and put away (thanks to Dee, Aiza, Mom, Steph, Millie and Abbie). Then I met the two roomates. Lexi- From San Diego California, Poli Sci major, all around awesome person :) Sarah-from Californnia/Georgia/Utah, been off mission to Temple square for about a month, El. Ed. major (like me :)), great cook, Awesome person. We didnt know who our other roomate was, so Lexi had a whole room to herself. We started calling our missing roomate Jane (Jane Doe), and referred to her often. We get along awesome and were doing great :) On Wednesday "Jane" came, her name is actually Whitney-from Oregon, English major. We are doing pretty good...no problems, it will be great :)
I am taking German, Astronomy, Book of Mormon, Child Development(online), and History/Philosophy Education(online). So far I have enjoyed the two days of classes I have had. I am excited to learn more about the universe and cosmology, and German. It shall be great :) Got to go, I have Astonomy homework. And I will try to keep this updated :) ~Kim

Well last week was pretty...eventful.On Monday (I think)I broke the handle off my car door because it was frozen. My dad. my neighbor and my uncle had to fix it, my other handle was already broken so they had to stick something in it to open it. Thursday I made a down payment for my graduation stuff (Scary). On Friday we got out of school three hours early for parent teacher conferences. Also on Friday we (Century Singers) sang at the PAC. Then Steph and I spent the night at Aizas house, that was crazy, there had to have been something in the caprisun...("He's wearing long socks, with shorts!" Followed by lots of laughing). Then Saturday Morning at 8AM we had to be back at the PAC for all day rehearsal which consisted of lots of singing, eating PB&J, ripping my brand new jeans("The sad thing is I don't know how long it's been like that!"), eating yummy pizza, singing some more, puking, puking more and then ended with sleeping on the couch in the living room. Sunday we had Stake Conference, it was really good, and the Priesthood choir made it even better :) . Today at school I locked my key in my car...again. Aiza, Lacey, Brock, and I all tried to get it unlocked with a coat hanger but we failed and got frozen in the process. We finally got it open though with a flat head screwdriver and a yardstick (Dylans idea). So pretty eventful... :). Well thats all for now, my tummy is telling me it wants food and I don't want to get sick again, Bye!

Well, I've had this blog for over a year and haven't written anything. I have facebook, and it has just been easier because I don't really now how to do a blog. But I decided I would do both even if I don't know how to do this.
So, anyways about life lately. We started school in August and have been out of school for the past two days for the midterm. I have it pretty easy this year even though I'm a senior. I go out to Century for early morning choir (Century Singers) and then I leave 5 minutes early to drive back to Syringa Elemantry School. I am an aide for Mrs. Spiker (a kindergarten teacher) for two of my class periods. I do this because, suprise! I want to be Kindergarten teacher :) ! then I leave that 10 minutes early to drive back out to seminary(which is awesome, because I have Bro. Smedley, and because it's Book of Mormon this year). Then lunch after that. Then I have Women's choir (Vocal Point, which I am the president of), and then I end the day with Government, which is awesome because I have Mr. Chase. The only thing that changes is that I have English 12 with Mrs. Keezer 2nd and 3rd tri and Gov't 2nd tri, but no seminary 2nd tri, but then again 3rd tri. I,so far, really dislike the trimester system that we started this year. One reason is that we can't take seminary all year, but at least i will graduate with a ton of extra credits beacuse I've taken early morinig all for years and the trimester system gives you more room and time to get more credits.
I am currently the Laurel class president in my ward. I turn 18 next month but I am going to keep attending yound women's and my family ward until I graduate in May. We just got a new YW presidency, which I think will be good. We were sad to see the other leaders released, but change is unevitable.
My current plan after graduating is to: Go to BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, and either go into early Childhood development/Elemantry Ed, or Professional Preschool Ed. I really want to go to Rexburg because I have cousins that are going there, both of my parents attended there, and it's a church school so it is cheaper :) and it will have a good environment(even if my uncle disagrees with that).
Well hopefully I can add some pictures soon and write more often, but this is all I can do for now because Steph wants to go to the library and I want to make Mac and cheese :)
